Sources
The twoband anemonefish lives in the western Indian Ocean: the Red Sea and Chagos Archipelago. FishBase lists it as native to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen (including Socotra), Jordan, occupied Palestine, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and the Chagos Islands. It also lists records from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and questionable records from India, Mozambique, Thailand and Vietnam, which conflict with the stated Red Sea–Chagos range.
