Dragon’s blood resin has a long history of medicinal use across many civilizations, including ancient Greece and Rome, the Arabs, and China. The red resin exuding from the wounded trunks of the Socotra dragon tree (Dracaena cinnabari) and its relative, the Canary Islands dragon tree (D. draco), was the original source of this substance.
