Damask rose

Taif rose is one of the most important economic products of Taif governorate, Saudi Arabia.

Bulgaria is the world's largest producer of rose oil, with more than 80% of global production (15–20 tonnes a year), most of it from the Kazanlak and Karlovo regions, followed by Turkey with about 15%. Growing roses and selling their derivatives, such as extracts and essential oils, is an old tradition, particularly in Iran and Bulgaria.

The Taif rose (Ward Taifi) is a variety of Damask rose known scientifically as Rosa damascena trigintipetala; the Damask rose (Rosa × damascena) is a hybrid in the rose family Rosaceae.
