Arabian toad

The highly adaptable Arabian toad occurs in almost all environments on the peninsula where water is available, including gardens, gravel areas, wadis and date groves. It is active both by day and at night, and its breeding season is linked to the rainy seasons.

The Arabian toad is an opportunistic species that is active during both day and night and can be found in a wide variety of microhabitats wherever water is present.

For southern and western Saudi Arabia, the Saudi encyclopedia describes Arabian toad breeding as generally occurring shortly after rainfall, in early autumn and mid-summer.
