Arabian cobra

In Oman the Arabian cobra occurs only in Dhofar; it is one of the nine venomous snakes known there.

The Arabian cobra Naja arabica was assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List in 2012, as it occurs over a wide area of the western Arabian Peninsula, although its population trend is unknown and it may be affected by venom extraction and the exotic pet trade.
