Moon jellyfish

Aurelia jellyfish occur in Northern Hemisphere seas of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, and are also found in the Red Sea.

Aurelia jellyfish may gather in huge numbers, competing with fish for food and blocking the cooling-water intakes of power stations, and their stings may injure swimmers.
