Rock Pigeon / Rock Dove

Both parents share in caring for the eggs and chicks, and feed the chicks with crop milk secreted by their crops; this is not suckling like that of mammals.

ADW states that rock dove pairs last for life. Cornell describes the female building the nest platform from materials brought by the male and the parents taking turns incubating, and reports one to three eggs per clutch and an incubation period of 18 days; whereas ADW states that the male builds the nest and that the eggs hatch after about 19 days.
