Waterwheel plant

The waterwheel plant has stems five to twenty centimeters long bearing whorls of five to nine reddish leaves, and small white or pink flowers that rise above the water.

The sensitive hairs inside its traps can close the trap in about one hundredth of a second, one of the fastest closing mechanisms among carnivorous plants with traps.
