Lemon

A spiny shrub or small tree 3–6 m tall; young leaves and flower buds are reddish purple and ovate to elliptic leaf blades 8–14 cm long. Petals are purplish outside and white inside; the fruit is yellow, ellipsoid to ovoid, narrowed at both ends, usually with an apical nipple, thick-skinned, with pale yellow acidic pulp.
