A branched plant 15–60 cm tall; basal leaves are ternately lobed with toothed oval segments, while stem leaves are pinnately dissected into linear segments. The umbel has 3–6 unequal rays; petals are purplish-white, the outer ones larger; the fruit is subglobose, about 4 mm long.
